Amazon offers easy return within 30 days of receipt for most items, which means that you can get a refund quickly for items that don’t work out as planned, whether they’re a pair of shoes or a TV.

What is the Amazon refund policy?

Most items purchased on Amazon have a 30-day return window. It’s always worth checking it for your specific product, as some products may have a different return window based on seller or product category.

How do refunds work for Amazon Prime?

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you qualify for free returns and refunds on most items delivered directly from Amazon and from sellers on Amazon Marketplace. Items that qualify for free returns and refunds have “Free returns” listed next to the price.

You can be issued a refund on the credit or debit card you used to make the purchase, or you can opt for the balance to be added to your Amazon account for you to use later on other purchases.

Depending on the item you’re returning, you may be offered an instant refund option. This means that you’ll get your money back instantly, but you’ll still have to return the item within 30 days.

Refund requests are typically processed quickly, but it may take 5 to 7 business days to see them on your card statement.

Can you get an Amazon refund without return?

Amazon may sometimes determine that you don’t have to return an item in order for a refund to be issued. You’ll typically be notified about this when you request the refund and you’ll also be able to see the status of the item in the Returns Center.

If you have a problem with an item you’ve purchased and you contact customer service, the representative may also let you know that you aren’t required to mail the item back in order to receive a refund.

Can you get a refund for Amazon Music?

Amazon doesn’t offer refunds for services that are already included in the Amazon Prime package, which is the case for Amazon Music. However, you can get a full Amazon Prime refund by cancelling your entire Amazon Prime membership, provided you haven’t yet placed any orders using the Prime benefits. You’ll be eligible for a partial refund if you’ve only used delivery benefits, but there are no refunds if you’ve used some of the other benefits, including Prime Music, Prime Video and Twitch.

If you are paying for Amazon Music Unlimited, you can cancel the plan at any time, but there are no refunds available, even if you haven’t used the service.

Can you get a refund if price drops on Amazon?

There’s nothing more annoying than noticing an item has dropped in price considerably after you’ve just purchased it. While there’s no rule that entitles you to get a refund if the price drops on Amazon, you can try to speak to customer service to get the difference back. While in some cases they may say yes, your best bet is to return the item for a refund during the 30-day return window and then purchase it again at the lower price.

Can you get a refund for an Amazon late delivery?

According to Amazon, your shipping fee may be refunded if your item was delivered late. This is only true for items that have an indication of guaranteed delivery on the checkout page.

You will have to ask for the delivery fee to be waived yourself while also having to prove that the carrier hasn’t attempted to deliver the items until after the guaranteed delivery date.
