Hardcore trivia is hard to find on almost any platform. Usually, board games and pub trivia are a little more organized and varied. However, there are some decent quiz games on PC. These tend to be a little more traditional than mobile games. Plus, PC is a more powerful platform. Thus, you have extra options on places like the Microsoft Store, Steam, websites, and even Facebook in some cases. Here are the best quiz games for Windows!MORE QUIZ GAMES!

BLUESTACKS

Price: Free with advertising / $2 per month
DOWNLOAD FROM BLUESTACKS

Bluestacks technically isn’t a quiz game. It’s an Android (like the mobile phone OS) emulator for PC. However, with it, you get access to basically any mobile quiz game that you want. That includes some popular ones like Quizoid, Trivia Crack, HQ Trivia, and others. Sadly, mobile has a much more diverse selection of quiz games than PC does. However, with an emulator, you can have both PC quiz games and mobile ones. Bluestacks is just the most popular one. There are other options as well.

FLAGSPLOSION

Price: $2.99
DOWNLOAD ON STEAM

Flagsplosion is one of the simpler quiz games for Windows. The game shows you a flag with multiple choice answers. You guess the flag. Obviously, this one has a shelf life because you eventually just memorize all of the flags. However, the game does include a practice mode, an endless mode, and it includes Steam achievements and leaderboards. It’s also fairly cheap at $2.99. The game is also frequently on sale. It’s fine for what it is.

IT’S QUIZ TIME

Price: $19.99
DOWNLOAD ON STEAM

It’s Quiz Time is a popular cross-platform quiz game. It works like a fairly traditional quiz app. You select a category, view the question, and select the answer. There is support for up to eight players and the game includes over 25,000 questions. That should keep even the most hardcore trivia fan going for quite some time. Plus, the game includes various game modes to keep things fresh. The $19.99 price tag is about what we’d expect from a PC game.

MAJOTORI

Price: $5.99 (+ $0.99 DLC)
DOWNLOAD ON STEAM

Majotori is a trivia game for video game, movie, and animation nerds. There is a witch that grants wishes to people. However, they have to complete a trivia game first. The questions range from basic video game stuff to seriously niche things like the number of points you get from one coin in Super Mario Bros. Other features include 50 branching storylines, over 1,000 questions, and more. The game is fun, humorous, and it requires basically nothing in terms of minimum specs. Plus, its price tag is extremely reasonable. This is one of the best ones for sure.

POKEMON QUIZ

Price: Free / Up to $2.75
DOWNLOAD ON MICROSOFT STORE

Pokemon Quiz is one of many quiz games with a niche theme. Granted, Pokemon isn’t niche, but a Pokemon specific quiz game is. This particular one includes 721 Pokemon and it’s fairly easy to play. You can find a variety of these type of quizzes on Google Play, Facebook, and websites that are tied to specific properties, movies, shows, and even musicians. They’re fun for a little while, but wear out their welcome quickly. Thankfully, there are a ton of them and most of them are free.

POPCORNTRIVIA

Price: Free with in-app purchases
DOWNLOAD ON MICROSOFT STORE

PopcornTrivia is a fun quiz game with a cinema theme. It’s also one of the few legitimately good trivia games available on the Microsoft Store. It includes questions about a ton of different movies from a bunch of different categories and eras. Additionally, it includes multiplayer support, TV shows, and semi-frequent updates. This one may contain mature content. Thus, it’s not as kid friendly as something like the Pokemon Quiz above. Other than that, it’s fantastic. We highly recommend it.

TRIVIA PLAZA (WEBSITE)

Price: Free
CHECK OUT THE WEBSITE

Trivia Plaza is a website for quizzes. It features a basic UI and format along with simple mechanics and plenty of quiz options. Some categories include movies, pop music, geography, science, computer, classical music, history, and more. Each category has about two dozen (or more) quizzes with ten questions each. Each quiz has a set number of questions. This won’t satisfy serious trivia urges. However, it’s a fun site to play with while bored at work.

TRIVIA VAULT GAMES (DOZENS OF GAMES)

Price: Varies (usually from $0.99 to $4.99
DOWNLOAD ON STEAM

Trivia Vault is a large series of quiz games on Steam. Each game is themed for a topic. We saw ones for the 1980’s, hockey, superheroes, video games, boxing, basketball, and many others. The developers also have general mixed trivia games as well. They all play basically the same way with a traditional game show trivia game setup. They’re also all fairly inexpensive. The games aren’t overly deep. For instance, it’s difficult to see how you rank against other players. However, it’s a cheap way to scratch that trivia itch. The sheer number of topics are nice as well, although they might have done better with one large game and each topic as an in-game purchase.

TRUE OF FALSE 2

Price: $1.99
DOWNLOAD ON STEAM

True of False 2 is a quick, fun little quiz game. The game asks you a true of false question. You answer if it’s true of false. That’s basically it. There are a ton of questions, though, as well as Steam achievements and collectibles. The game is usually available in bundles with other games. That includes the first game in the series. We also recommend the first game since you can get it for so cheap. However, the second one is better than the first one.

YOU DON’T KNOW JACK (SEVERAL GAMES)

Price: $1.99-$24.99
DOWNLOAD ON STEAM

You Don’t Know Jack is a humorous old quiz games for Windows. The first few games in the series are traditional quiz games with little mini-games. There is another series of Jackbox Party Packs that include party games along with guessing games. For trivia fans, we recommend the standard You Don’t Know Jack experience. The Jackbox Party Pack games are still rather fun in groups, though. The regular games are fairly inexpensive while the Jackbox Party Pack games run around $24.99 each. These are pretty good and easily among the best.
